In a forgotten Harlem park, a recently released man is offered rent money by an off-duty detective in exchange for one dangerous call that could pull him back into the system he is trying to escape.

I’m drawn to stories that reveal what people hide from each other and from themselves. I’m especially interested in working people’s stories, the unseen moral choices inside everyday life, and the moments when discomfort turns into recognition.
